When to Submit Estimate to Insurance Company

When should you submit your Xactimate estimate to the insurance company? This is one of the most commonly asked questions I get asked; hands down.

In this video, we cover that and we also jump into some basic building codes info. Building codes are your “secret sauce” to win in insurance restoration estimating. They are crucial to your toolbox.

Chad! I love your stuff, dude! I just started using xactimate and have been poking around youtube for little hints and stuff. I’ve been at this for 10 years, good roofing company in my area very well known.. sales comes naturally to me but not in a tactful way… just because I’m honest and folksy. I’ll get to the good part cause I go on and on.. haha

watched your video on the roofing sales presentation…. loved it (actually only 20 minutes so far.. it’s 3:34am and I have another xactimate to do for appointments tomorrow). and the focus on getting to the table first.. becaues that’s where you want to end up. so true! last two deals I signed were signed on the back patio. That’s where we went to first! this nice lady and I talked about the weather and general things, then bam! (I used a little salesmanship.. I was the first to arrive, and she said she would but she has two others coming and she would feel bad… later I said well you could save them the time coming to do a quote if you’re already leaning my direction.. anyways off topic.) But that’s falling into my lap because I wasn’t leading. it’s just working out that way. after what you have said I’ll be more focused on making it go that way.

I like your content about codes.. when to present your estimate.. how to dress.. I’ve been overdressed and missed out (probably because I didn’t have all the other stuff to go with it. I might have been late, might not have had all my information in my folder, wasn’t prepared to print and present my estimate in the truck… etc.)

My goal is to get on the list of the insurance adjusters and claims departments. I’ve always been shy to approach them, and when I’ve had relationships I didn’t know how to nurture… I didn’t know what’s appropriate. after I handle the 6 files they sent me… I lost contact.. so I want to learn how to build and keep relationships with insurance adjusters! I think xactimate will help big time for presenting professionalism.

I can’t wait to see more of your training!
