Winning More with Building Codes & Xactimate

A basic 25 year 3-tab shingle roofing job.

“You guys are great, but there is no way your system will work in the Chicagoland area…”

We beg to differ. Results are results. It doesn’t matter where you are located. Win more!

In this video we look at an Allstate adjuster estimate, written before contractor involvement for $6,61.43.

Our client was hired as the contractor. We submitted an Xactimate estimate to Allstate for $12.363.99, which we review in the video.

We received a revised estimate from Allstate when it was all over for $11,078.88, which we also review in the video.

  1. Larry Hartman says:

I have really enjoyed your series 1-6 and look forward to more!!

    1. For Ice & Water Shield the insurance company many times give 1 1/2 rolls (4.5′). What is the argument for providing 2 full rolls (6′)?

    2. For calculating the dumpster size what weight do you use per square of asphalt shingles? For Mod Bit roofing?

    2. Many times for a Swamp/Evaporative Cooler the insurance company wants to only provide labor to work around the swamp cooler, no base or head apron or step flashing. Is there a catch all charge for the swamp cooler?
